Test driving a new app and gadget– For the business owner, part of making life simpler for clients with the payment option of credit/debit card – I stumbled across ‘square.com’ – this organisation provides a small card reader that connects via your smart phone. Currently Officeworks were selling these readers for around $20! Square fees are 1.9% and the reader is linked to your bank account. The operation of the reader and issuing receipts is very easy. Call me for further info or check it out here: https://squareup.com/i/547FD96F

Do you want your tax return lodged as quickly possible his year-? Here’s how
First thing to do is make an appointment with me for 14 July onwards. The reason I say 14th and not the 1st is that while ATO prefills some information, not ALL information is available immediately; sometimes it can take up to 6-8 weeks to filter thru. So to overcome this, you need to have all of your paperwork in hand for your tax return appointment. That is your payment summaries and work related expenses. Payment summaries should be issued by the 14th July so this shouldn’t be too much of a problem if your employer is on-time. If you have received dividends thru the year, bring the dividend payment statements too. With a bit of organisation we can have your tax refund ‘in hand’ with 10 days (or less)
