Pre Tax Time Planning-

Employees: Payment summaries will not be provided by your employer however the information will be available to you via the MyGov system or by your Tax Agent (me) for the preparation of your return.

Bookings for income tax return appointments are now available online to book at your convenience. Note it is unlikely your income statement information will be available til after 14 July at the earliest.

Employers- Note that you are no longer required to provide payment summaries to employees. Thanks to STP reporting this data is reported directly to ATO for ATO to provide to employee via prefill etc.

If you have an employee requesting a payment summary, they must wait until this information becomes available to them or their tax agent for pre-fill.

If you are a ‘working Director’ or a business without employees, this FY 2020 we are able to report in the usual way. NEXT FY2021 reporting via STP or some electronic reporting of some sort will be required. When further details become available I will advise.

Online booking system: As we are coming up to a busy time, I am road testing an online appointment making facility for those that would like a face to face at the office or Zoom meeting to discuss / prepare tax returns, financial reports etc.

The online booking system doesn’t mean you cant call for a quick chat about an issue that you are having – calls are always welcome.
